Kaiju are an ancient species of gigantic creatures that are older than mankind. They come in different shapes and sizes and have different abilities. Notable Kaiju are Belloc, "King of the Kaiju", and his son, Duncan, half-human and half-Kaiju.
Some other Kaiju are Xornga and the twin brothers Abbadon and Astaroth.
Kaiju were and still are enemies of MEGATF, the Earth's secret governmental organization.
The origin of the Kaiju is told by Belloc to his son Duncan right his death. He explains that Kaiju were actually aliens.
